Choosing the right thickness of color-coated steel sheets (PPGI/PPGL) is a critical decision that determines the building’s lifespan and safety.

1. Thickness is More Than a Number: Structural Integrity

In tropical climates where monsoons and heavy storms are frequent, thin steel sheets (e.g., below 0.3mm) are prone to “oil canning” or deformation under high wind pressure. For industrial workshops, we recommend a roof thickness of at least 0.4mm to 0.6mm to ensure sufficient structural rigidity.
